Jessie Mae was born March 12, 1934 in Florence, South Carolina. Her parents are the late Bernie McDowell and Mary (Cooper) McDowell. They moved to New Jersey in 1946. There She finished school up to the 10 th grade and then received Her GED in 1972. Her hobbies and interest growing up were Jewelry making, artwork, crocheting, weaving, making hats, making pocketbooks, ceramics, millenary, piano, typing, computers, exercising, bible study and going on retreats and attending events for the Keen Agers group in Williamstown, New Jersey. During those years, they were blessed with four children: Freddie, Ronald, Debra and Tracy. Their home was the best spot for all family reunions, parties and Thanksgiving and Christmas. You can be sure that Jessie Mae will have something unique to eat like shark, BBQ neckbones, or lady-fingers cake served in unique kitchen items you have never seen before.
