Jimmie Neal Williams, 98, of Vineland passed away on March 14, 2021 at Genesis Nursing Home, Millville, New Jersey. Jimmie was born on July 25, 1922 in Silver City, Mississippi to Willie and Estella Williams. Jimmie moved to Vineland where he settled down with Helen Peterson of Burgaw, North Carolina and worked as a cook/production worker at Venice Maid.
Jimmie was an avid baseball and wrestling fan. He enjoyed coaching IBEW in South Vineland Senior League from 1986 to the early 90's with his sons Troy & Chris, were they won multiple championships. After moving on from South Vineland Senior League, Jimmie assisted in coaching a college summer baseball team along with his son Chris. Jimmie was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and Philadelphia Eagles.
Jimmie was predeceased by his wife, Helen and parents Willie and Estella Williams. He is survived by his family of five children, Reginald J. Williams (Theresa) of Minnesota, Geraldine Williams, Troy Williams, Christopher Williams (Becky) and Gregory Williams along with 2 grandchildren Jada & Vanessa Williams.
There will be a viewing held on Thursday, March 25, 2021 from 10am to 11am followed by a funeral service at 11am at the ALMS Center, 1 Martin Luther King Blvd Way, Bridgeton. Interment will follow Oak Hill Cemetery, Vineland.
