John W. Church Sr., 81 of Fairfield Township departed this life on September 19, 2020 at his residence. He was born in Eastville, Va. on November 7, 1938 to William and Carrie (Giddens) Church. Coming from Virginia, he was a resident of the area since 1957.

He was formerly employed as an Agricultural Technician for Rutgers Research Center in Seabrook.

He was a member of Union Baptist Temple where he was a Trustee, Former Brethen Usher and worked with the Food Pantry.

He was a member of Gouldtown Fire Company, Clean Community and Crime Watch of Fairfield Township.

He was predeceased by his parents and five siblings.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Emma Marie Church; children, Vanessa Jackson, John W. Church, Jr., Janice Stewart and Marvin Church; 3 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; sister, Phyllis Robinson; and a host of family and friends.
