John Henry Waters entered eternal rest on March 17, 2026, after a brief illness. He was born on March 9, 1961, in Bridgeton, New Jersey. He was a devoted son to the late Randolph Waters Sr. and Ruth Martin Waters.

He was educated in the Cumberland County School System, graduating from Vineland High School, and attended Cumberland County College. John was employed at Golden Nugget Casino in Atlantic City for 30 years and prior to his declining health he was employed at the FAA Technical Center in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey for 8 years.

John and his wife Rhonda joined Shiloh Baptist Church in 2015 and he was excited to join the band, where he used his God-given gift to play his congas. In his early years, he loved to DJ at parties and events. For a brief time, he had a segment at WDVL FM Cruising in Vineland and was known as Funk Master.

He was an avid fisherman and loved going out to catch “The Big One” with his brother Randy and friends, Maylon Winrow and Dion Colvin, just to name a few. Every summer he would host a fish fry for his fishing buddies, friends and family. John loved his brother Randy’s cooking and enjoyed sitting down with him for a delicious meal. He enjoyed eating crabs, playing cards and various games with family and friends. He always had a joke to tell, would use his Jamaican voice to impersonate others, and was a great singer.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Rhonda Rosado Waters of Sicklerville, NJ, 1 brother: Randolph Jr. (Tracy) Waters of Ocean City NJ, 1 Nephew: Randolph Waters 3rd of Medford Lakes NJ, father and mother-in-law: Benny and Mary Rosado of Puerto Rico, 1 sister-in-law: Janise (Damian) Colon of Vineland, NJ, 2 brothers-in-law: Ralph (Mildred) Perez of Vineland NJ, Benny Jr. (Judy) Rosado of Vineland, 2 nieces: Angela and Tiffany Gonzalez, and a host of aunts, uncles, family and friends.
