Jonathan Dewayne
Bell, Sr.
October 7, 1959 – April 6, 2021
Jonathan (Wayne) Bell, Sr. was born on October 7, 1959 to Clara Bell Jones. On Tuesday, April 6, 2021, Wayne passed away in Inspira Medical Center, Vineland after a lengthy illness caused by cancer. He has gained his wings and went home to be with the Lord.
Wayne graduated from Fairfield Township Middle School and attended Bridgeton High School. He worked at Seabrook Brother and Sons in Seabrook NJ and Griffin Medical Supply. He became disabled and had to go on sick leave and he then retired.
He loved to ride his bike (that bike was his town car.) He loved to cook on the grill, especially ribs. They were his specialty. Boy, did he make a mean rib. He was a great cook. He loved to watch western movies. He also enjoyed fishing. He adored his wife (the love of his life.)
Words Spoken By His Mother
"I am surely going to miss Wayne. I am going to miss him playing jokes on me, him bringing me candy and other sweets that I should have not been eating. He always made sure I was OK and looked out for me in every way possible. He loved to keep my yard clean and beautiful. You could not tell him anything about that grass. He liked it cut a certain way and if it was cut any different, he would be so mad, and he did not want anyone else touching it. He had to give it his perfect touch.
I'm really going to miss him."
He was predeceased by his wife, Carol Moss-Bell, sister, Evelyn (Bootsie) Bell-Williams; father, grandparents, Peter and Clara Bell; uncle, Peter Bell, Jr.; aunts, Virginia Lewis and Ida Williams.
Wayne will be truly missed by his children, Natashia Hunter of Bridgeton, Deawanna Harris (Marcus) of Millville, Shanika Davis of Millville, Jonathan Bell, Jr. and Ernest Bell of Millville, Dequan Jones of Bridgeton, Andre Ashby of Millville, Donald Moss (Teiondra) and JuanitaMoss of Bridgeton. He loved his grandkids, he leaves to cherish his memory 30 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; siblings, Raymond Bell of Gouldtown, Frances Royal of Georgia, Tamyia Gould (Rodney) and Stephinie Johnson (Milton) both of Indiana, Darell Jones and Dawon Jones of Vineland; aunts and uncles, Mary Farmer of Gouldtown, Evelyn Hagamin (Kenwood, Sr.) of Camden, Martha Pitts of North Carolina, James Arthur Bell (Pat) of Texas and Mabel Bell of Gouldtown, Joyce, Emma Jean and Mack Bennett; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Humbly Submitted, The Family
