Joseph Gary Thompson,
affectionately known as "Jo-Gary and Vamp" was born on December 31, 1961 in Bridgeton, New Jersey to Gary Thompson and Alberta Thompson Pierce, but was raised in Rosenhayn, New Jersey on October 27, 2018 while peacefully sleeping, Vamp was called to eternal rest.
A 1980 graduate of Cumberland Regional High School, Vamp loved sports. He played football, representing #41 for his high school, and lets not forget about his love for baseball. As a child, he could be found at the park across the street from his house where there was always a baseball, basketball or kickball game going on. Rosenhayn has always been called the country, but that didn't stop Vamp from being the cool dude everybody wanted to hang out with, nor did it stop him from being a lady's man.
During a visit from his oldest cousins Bishop Alvin and Maxine Motley, Vamp accepted the Lord as his personal Savior.
Vamp will sorrowfully be missed by his family and all who loved him. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother Alberta (Kenny) Pierce, his father Gary Thompson, 2 brothers Jacob and Steven, 1 sister Sharon, His sister held a place in his heart that was untouchable, she could do no wrong in his eyes.
