Joyce Ann Hope's Obituary

On the evening of April 1, 2023, Joyce Ann Hope departed after a long battle with cancer surrounded by family. Joyce Hope was born on December 26, 1948, in Dover, Delaware to Vermon Hill (Demby) and the late George T. Hill, Sr.

Joyce attended the Mannington and Salem school systems as a child. Joyce then worked as a Lathe Operator for 48 years at Precision Electronic Glass in Vineland, NJ. She also worked at JC Penny's and Value City where she met her late husband Charles F. Hope Sr., they later married in 1996. After marriage she became a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.

Joyce loved spending time with her family, taking her children and grandchildren to Wildwood, tending to her plants and shopping. In fact, if her kids brought something they knew she would like they made sure they got her the same thing before she could ask. Joyce served on the kitchen Ministry as well as Celebrate Recovery and the Pantry at Shiloh Baptist Church with her close friends.

One of Joyce's passions was cooking, and she was known for her potato salad, macaroni and cheese, chicken and dumplings and pound cake. She was always willing to help any and everybody she could without a complaint. She made a positive impact on everyone she met and made everyone feel special.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her mother Vermon Hill, children: Raymond III, Georgeanna, John (Lynn), Robert, Adriane, Kezia, stepchildren: Darlene, Charles, Sandra, Karen, Kendall Debbie & Sherman. Siblings: George (Marie), Patricia "Toots", Delilah, Brenda (Tim), Vincent (Sherry), Franklin, Julia (Melvin), Brenda (Fred), Lutricia (Joe), Leon (Beatrice), Ellis (Joyce), Angela (Thomas), Apostle Roma (Lillian), Robert.
