Obituary

Justine Adella Hunter Adamson, 87 of Bridgeton (Gouldtown) New Jersey, was born January 8, 1939, to the Late Samuel J. Hunter, Sr. and Late Mary Rivers Hunter, in Orangeburg, South Carolina. Transitioned from Earth to Heaven and received her wings on May 21, 2026 at Cooper Medical Center Camden, NJ. After a lengthy illness.

She married her love of her life Norman Adamson and were married for many years until his time of death. Her family includes; 5 Children.

Our Family Matriarch, Affectionately called “Jaye” was the keeper of keepers. Her home was the home everyone feels at home.

She worked various jobs which included: Venice Maid of Vineland, Mandy’s in Cumberland Mall and the store C & B Deli in Gouldtown (Rt 49), but her love for the education sitting at Gouldtown School is where she flourished. No child would leave her house without some kind educational book or workbook or a ride in the Flintstone car. Her love for her family always goes over and beyond the call of duty. A walk down Jaye’s Hall of Fame is where you know you were in the family.

She was a lifelong member of John Wesley United Methodist Church were she has served on many committees from the choir to Administration. The Willing Workers being one of her most loved ministries.

She had partnered with her late brother Sam in S&J Travel Club and she has traveled many places. Justine in her day enjoyed playing baseball, Roller skating, and dancing being her favorite which she did until she couldn’t no more.
