Karen was born on June 21st, 1965, to the late Charles and Yvonne Johnson at Woodbury Memorial Hospital. She attended Magnolia Public School, where she was actively involved in school activities, including the School Chorus, which performed at the Christmas and Spring Programs. If you remember the 70s, you know how much fun those programs were – Dad loved them... Yeah, right!

In 1983, Karen graduated from Sterling High School, where she was a member of the Drill Team, performing at basketball games and participating in D.E.C.A and DE CO OP. She was also a dedicated member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, baptized under the leadership of Rev. Daniel Murray. Karen faithfully served in the Youth Department, Youth Choir, Trustee Board, and as Financial Secretary.

Karen's professional journey included working in Operations at various banks in the area until 1989 when she moved to Maryland and worked as an Administrative Assistant. In 1996, she returned to New Jersey. Karen had a passion for travel, going on many cruises to the Caribbean and immersing herself in travel magazines and TV programs. Her enthusiasm for travel led her to her last employer, Norwegian Cruise Line, where she worked as a Customer Service Representative, sharing her love for cruising with others.

At the end of November, Karen's health took a sudden turn, and God called her home on December 10th. She is survived by her brother, Darrin, and many cousins, church family, and friends.

Let us remember Karen for her vibrant spirit, her love for travel, and her dedication to her family, friends, and community. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
