Kenneth Wallace James Jr., 56, of Belmar, NJ, passed unexpectedly while at home on October 5, 2026. Kenneth was born on September 5, 1970, in Atlantic City, New Jersey to Kenneth James Sr. and the late Dorothy Elizabeth James-Wesley.
Kenneth grew up in both Atlantic County and Fairfield Township. He was a graduate of Cumberland Regional High School, Class of 1988. He continued his education at Cumberland County College before entering the work field. He worked multiple types of jobs before ultimately entering the field that he loved, electronics. Kenneth thrived while being a Senior Account Manager with CDW for 16 plus years. He handled internal infrastructure and hardware solutions. He then moved on to become an Executive Account Manager with CTG, an Electronic Technology Company. Being successful was a self-driven trait of Ken, and it showed in his work ethic.
Kenny (Ken) had a smile that would brighten up any room. His vibrant personality will be remembered by everyone that was in his life. Ken had a unique magnetic laugh, which filled every room he entered with joy. He loved family and friends, whether it was spending holidays together, going out on food or movie dates, or just great conversations of laughter or giving meaningful advice. His love for electronics started young. Ken loved to spend countless hours back then on his computer gaming system. It would eventually expand to hard drives, monitors, laptops, and phones. If it was an electronic gadget, he most likely had it. His love for music goes back to the album days. He loved his collection of all genres of music. He’d play music while driving, cooking and even cleaning. He loved to go to the Movie Theater to see a good action film, science fiction or marvel comics movie; they were some of his favorites.
A lifelong, passionate sports fan, he loved cheering for the City of Philadelphia sports teams. Each season, he’d tune in to cheer on his beloved Eagles, Sixers, Phillies, and Flyers. At the collegiate level, His North Carolina Tar Heels was his heart. No matter how the season turned out, he loved his teams!
Kenneth is survived by his father Kenneth James Sr., and mom, Sandra James, aunt Jacqueline Rice, brothers; Ira Gravley (Latitia), Dwaune Gravley Sr., nephew Dwaune Gravley Jr., nieces; Iriona and Ilyee Gravley and a host of cousins and family – Terry, Rice, Jones, Johnson, Brooks and James families, as well as countless loving friends.
He is predeceased by his mother Dorothy James-Wesley, and dad James Wesley, grandparents; Alice Washington, Jessie Williams, Sally James, aunts; Patricia Cowen and Darlene Jones, uncles; Victor, Edward, Ralph, Walter, Glenn and Robert James.
