Kenya LaShawn Scott 42 of Bridgeton departed this life on July 3, 2020. She was born May 31, 1978 in Augusta, Georgia to Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Young and Mr. and Mrs. Willie C. Scott. Kenya was educated in the Bridgeton, New Jersey public school system. She loved to cook, especially spicy dishes. Dancing was also one of her favorite things to do. Kenya was the favorite aunt to all of her nieces and nephews. Her niece DeeDee was her partner in crime.

Kenya was preceded in death by her sister, Marquita D'wan Anderson, her paternal grandfather, Willie C. Scott, Sr. and her maternal grandparents, Willie and Runell Brown. One nephew, Laytrel Anderson, also preceded her in death.
