Lenton Thomas Turner-Brown was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania October 13, 1923 and transitioned to his eternal home with Jesus on July 21, 2017. He was raised by his parents Virginia and Oscar Brown in Tallahassee, Leon, Florida. Lenton always had a strong work ethic which began with one of his first jobs as a delivery boy for Duval Grocery Store as a teen in Tallahassee. He enlisted in the United States Army in February 1943 and was part of the 13th Airborne during WWII. He was a man that did things his own way; by age 18 he was adding the letter (e) to his last name (Browne). He retired from Owens Illinois Glass Factory after approximately 39 years of service. As a result of his hard work and dedication to Owens Illinois he was highlighted in the Bridgeton Evening News as a worker who exemplified the standard of excellence that the glass company embodied.

Lenton was the most comfortable in the out of doors. He loved fishing, hunting, and gardening. When visiting his home you were not going to leave without walking through his garden and leaving with produce from it. In addition to growing food, he was a very good cook. One of his favorite past times in the summer was to make homemade ice-cream with a hand crank mixer. And let's not forget the wine he made in wooden barrels from the berries that he and his family picked. He was a competitive story teller and enjoyed sharing tales about the large fish that got away while fishing on one of many boats.

In addition he was handy at building things. He erected a train table in his home which included a large double set of Lionel trains and a working train station. Additionally Lenton designed and built a brick barbecue pit in his back yard on Vine Street in Bridgeton, NJ which was a gathering place for many family barbecues.

Lenton married Lucille Dantzler in 1947. His second marriage was to Lydia Browne. He joined John Wesley United Methodist Church on December 17, 1981, in addition to The Church of Later Day Saints.

He is survived by his children Pam, Jeanette, Tina, Brytt, Vita, Lenton Jr., Donna, Diana, Poulani, Clinton, and Michael; in addition to helping to raise Terry, two sisters Hazel Goldsboro and Marie Esquilin,and his brother Morris Brown. His siblings Lillie Mae Turner, Frank Turner, and Estine Davis preceded him to Glory. Lenton leaves his uncle Clinton Wendell Austin, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews, in laws, friends and church family.
