Lora E. Steward Winchester, 59 affectionately known as "Lo," suddenly departed this life on April 20, 2025. Lora was born on September 11,1965 in Bridgeton, New Jersey to Anna E. Steward and the late John L. Steward Sr. Lora was married to the late Kevin W. Winchester Sr.

Lora, was a lifelong resident of Cumberland County and attended Bridgeton Public School System and Detroit Michigan Public Schools. Lora received her bachelor's degree of Science in Criminal Justice and Human Services, Associate Degree in Business Administration. She was currently employed at GB Collects in Voorhees, NJ.


Her past employments included Activities Assistant at South Jersey Extended Care, Substitute Teacher at Vineland Public Schools, Tax Preparer at Jackson Hewitt Taxes, Blackjack and Craps Dealer at various Casinos in Atlantic City, and Security at Kimble Glass. Lora was a certified tax preparer, and was preparing to take her real estate state to become a real estate agent.


Lora enjoyed spending time with her family. Lora was a Steelers fan and she loved watching the Pittsburgh Steelers play on game day. Lora enjoyed attending her grandsons' football games, line dancing, reading books, and talking on the phone. Lora loved going to yard sales, and  flea markets. She was joyful and loved to laugh. Lora was smart, and charismatic. She was strong, and trustworthy. Lora was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and daughter. Lora was the oldest daughter of her siblings. She touched many lives throughout her years. If you knew Lora, you knew she was a woman of class, with so much style and grace. She was sassy, but classy and had a unique sense of humor. Lora was photogenic, and enjoyed modeling. She was a model for John Casablancas and Boykin. Lora would light up every room she walked into. Her dimples were her signature, when she smiled it was contagious. Her smile had a way of making everyone around her feel good inside. Lora's favorite gospel song was, "It's Almost Midnight." by Linda Bland. She loved "Oldies," music. Lora's presence was known as she entered any room, and her absence will be felt by all those whom she loved and whom loved her dearly.

Steward of Millville, NJ; three daughters: Daneen Winchester, Iyana Winchester both of Vineland, NJ, Chrystal Winchester Adams (Laron) of Dorchester, NJ; Three sons: Kevin Winchester Jr., John Winchester both of Vineland, NJ, and Brian Winchester of Elmer, NJ; Two Stepdaughters: Tanaya Tukes (Willie) of Sicklerville, NJ, and Kavon Jones   (Kamron) of Mechanicsville, MD; Two Stepsons: Yarnell Nock (Stanyell) of Springtown, NJ and Terrin Walker of Millville, NJ; Thirty – Nine; Grandchildren and Eleven Great-Grandchildren; Three Godchildren: Shamar and Kenayah Baker, Fatimah Johnson all of Bridgeton, NJ; Four sisters: Tonya Allen-Brown (James), Tamara Steward-Williams both of Bridgeton, NJ, Tamara Morris (David) of Vineland, NJ, and Tracy Williams (John) of San Diego, CA; Four brothers: John Steward Jr. Of Vineland, NJ, Harvey J. Allen of Bridgeton, NJ, Bryon Steward (Chineta) of Detroit, MI, and Tori Steward of NY; Five Sister in laws: Shelly Thomas (Kenneth) of Bridgeton, NJ, Mildred and Samantha Davis both of Vineland, NJ, Leverna Robinson of Charlotte, NC, and Kimberly Staples (Walter) of Millville, NJ; Two brothers in laws: Lance Winchester (the late Charlene) of DE and Kenneth Waldon of Vineland, NJ. Lora also leaves to cherish her best friends Rita Baker, Shemieka Simmons, Siani Lee and family friend Paul Peterson and special cousins Wanda Jones, Evelyn(Missy) and Taurus Grimes. A host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.


She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 40 years; Kevin W. Winchester Sr, her father: John L. Steward Sr, her stepmother: Claudia Smith, her brother: Warren Steward, her granddaughter: Alaya La'Shae Winchester, her maternal grandparents: Sara E. Loatman, Clarence Pierce, her paternal grandparents: Edna and John Steward, her father in law: Henry Davis, mother in law: Mildred Bailey, brother in laws: Timothy Winchester, Brian Bailey, and best friend Gwen Hadley.
