She was educated in the public school systems in Chunky, MS. Louise worked diligently to assist her family to establish a new life after the family migrated to Rosenhayn, NJ. As a young woman, she was instrumental in supporting her family to establish Jerusalem Baptist Church in Rosenhayn, NJ. She enjoyed playing the piano and singing in the choir. Although, the choir lacked singing ability, they made it sound harmoniously with a joyful heart. As a devoted Christian, she worked passively with the children of the church. Her desire was especially during Easter - Resurrection Sunday and Christmas programs; where the youth would memorize their speeches, poems and skits. Moreover, she enjoyed planting, cultivating and laboring in her garden. Each year she would grow wonderful vegetables, to name a few lima beans, collard greens, string beans and turnip greens. Louise was a superb cook, and was known for her cakes and pies. Especially her egg custard and sweet potato pies. She was a positive influence to young women on proper etiquettes of being a godly wife and homemaker.
Louise*s love and commitment to young people inspired her to become a guiding foster mother for over a hundred foster children in the State of New Jersey. She received special recognition for her faithful service, as an outstanding family for foster children in Cumberland County. Furthermore, Louise enjoyed working as a seamstress, and became a manager of other employees. Within her employment she made uniforms and coats for army troopers and military personnel.
