Maceo Lavell Comer Jr. departed this life on February 17, 2021 from Inspira Medical Center, Vineland, NJ after an extended illness.
Born May 31, 1963 to his parents Hazel Comer and the late Maceo Sr. He was the oldest of 3 siblings.
Maceo was educated through the Bridgeton Public School Systems and graduated from the Vineland Adult School and Cranberry Trucking Training Academy in Vineland, NJ. Maceo was employed by various trucking companies such as National Freight etc. He took great pride in his position and had a special love for his occupation. Maceo held his position for over 30 years. His last position held was for the Delaware City Oil Refinery, Delaware City, Delaware until his health failed.
Oh, we can't forget that Maceo was a master at the barbecue pit. We consider it to be the best. His personality and love just radiated through it.
Maceo loved his family and was so instrumental in seeing his family arrived safely to vacations and family reunions. We could always count on Maceo for our transportation. He was a fun-loving individual, to him no one was a stranger. His favorite song was by Walter Hawkins "What Is This." Favorite scripture Psalms 23.
He leaves to cherish his memories his children; Shamoria Grace, Lavelle Comer of Wilmington, Delaware, his mother Hazel Comer of Bridgeton, NJ, sisters; Robin Burnett (Pastor King Burnett) of Williamstown, NJ, Cherrie Louise Comer of Bridgeton, NJ, step brothers; Marcus and Marvelous Comer of Delaware, NJ, special friend; Myra Carter of Delaware City, DE, spiritual brothers; Frank Bates, Timothy Green, Ronnie Walker deceased, Mark Wally, Richard Bonner, a special cousin William Comer, a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his father Maceo Comer Sr., maternal grandparents Pastor Daniel Webster, Edith Woods paternal grandparents Woodrow Wilson and Matilda Comer.
