Manetta Manson was born in New Brunswick, NJ, on June 16, 1965, to the late Anna Mae Brown and Frank Manson Sr. She was the only girl of four brothers.

She attended Reber School and Landis Junior High. Manetta grew up in and attended Bethel AME Church in Vineland, NJ, where she got her passion to become a singer. In her teenage and early adult years, she sang for the junior and senior choir at Landis Junior High School and Bethel AME Youth Choir. In her early years she sung for Vineland Community Choir and Southern Regional Gospel choir.

Manetta attended and sang at various churches all over the tri-state area. She was in healthcare for 25 years as a home health aide. Her passion for singing led her to venture into off-broadway where she became a member of the off-broad street players. She played in many lead roles and won an award for best female singer of the year. Manetta participated in various non-profit and charitable organizations over the years dedicating her service to her ministry. In her final years she was a member of Embassy House of Zion, where she was a committee member of "Women of Purpose" on Domestic Violence and a part of the worship team.

She leaves to cherish her memories three brothers; John Manson, Frank Manson, James Manson, three nieces; Michelle Manson, Alyssa Manson, Kaitlin Manson, 3 nephews; Elijah Wood, Frank Mason III, Christian Manson Lozada 3 great nieces; Marrissa Manson, McKenna Bartee, Jayla Manson, one great nephew Makoe Wood, three cousins; Iva Wilson, James Wilson aka Alvin,
Ivan Watson, and one God son Jordan Walker.

Manetta was preceded in death by her mother and father Anna and Frank Manson, her brother Maynard Manson, Aunt Ida Kollock, cousin Steven Wilson, God Mother Maria Arthur.
