Margaret Burt passed away peacefully with family by her side on December 5, 2018 at the age of 91.

She was born on September 29, 1927 in Mizpah, NJ to the late William and Lelar Burt.  She was the youngest of five children and was predeceased in death by her siblings Girlee Maven, Marie Kollock, Charles Burt and George Burt.

As a life long resident of Vineland, Margaret held a variety of jobs.  She worked as a house keeper and a packer at the Pickle factory.  In 1958, she was hired by Manischewitz where she worked for 32 years before retiring.  Margaret loved her church family and was an active member of Mt. Pisgah U.A.M.E church.  Here she served on the Trustee, Steward, and Mother Boards as well as the Kitchen Committee.  She also served as the Treasurer of the Women's Chorus.

She was known throughout the community as Aunt Margaret and Maggie.  She enjoyed cooking and used her culinary skills to unite people; volunteering at the local soup kitchen, catering special events and hosting cookouts at 501 Park Avenue.

Margaret adored her family; she was a devoted Mother, Grandmother and Aunt.  She found joy in bringing joy to others.  At 91, she continued to be the pillar of strength and support for her family.  She was our Matriarch.

Margaret leaves to cherish her memories, her son Ronnie; grandchildren Elisa (Sidney), Ronnie Jr. (Donna), Rochelle (Troy) and Tongi; great grandchildren Kristian, Lauryn, Cameran, Camille, Sean, Ethan and Austin; great-great grandchild Kaden; nieces Roselyn and Lelar (James); nephews Sidney (Barbara) and Luke and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  She was predeceased in death by nephews Roger and Joseph (Savon); niece Sheila and daughter in-law Thelma.
