Margaret Ferguson, age 92 of Mayslanding, NJ transitioned from earth to Heaven on Friday, March 17, 2023, at Inspira Medical Center, Vineland, NJ.  She was born on December 24, 1930, in McBee, South Carolina to the late Vander and Laura Bell McFarland.

Margaret graduated from Hartsville High School, South Carolina in 1946.  Margaret then reunited with her parents and siblings in Mizpah, NJ in 1947.

Margaret, at an early age accepted Jesus Christ as her savior and joined St. John AME Zion Church in Mizpah.  She became an active member and would serve on the Usher and Missionary Boards.  Margaret so loved the Lord and put her life in His hands.

In 1950, she met and married George W. Ferguson and would later reside in Mayslanding, NJ.  Margaret started working at a clothing company as a seamstress.  Later, she worked at the Mayslanding Library for nuerous years.  Margaret loved to cook, gardening, reading the Bible and spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband George W. Ferguson, parents Vander and Laura Bell McFarland, two brothers William and Calvin McFarland and two sisters Retha Dyess and Loretta McFarland.

She leaves to cherish her memory a loving god daughter, Paula Hinton (Henry) of Paulsboro; one sister, Edna Mallory of Richland, NJ; one brother, Vander Holmes McFarland of Trenton, NJ and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
