Margie Smith was born January 16, 1935 in El'Darado, AR to Thornie and Sudie (Leslie) Talley. She peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 16, 2021 surrounded by her family.

In 1947, Margie and her family moved to Bridgeton, NJ where she attended Bridgeton Public School and later graduating from Bridgeton High.  Margie was a faithful member of Union Baptist Temple where she was baptized under the leadership of R. W. Davis.  She was a member of the No. 1 Choir, No. 2 Choir and Levite Choir and she also served in the Kitchen Ministry.

On June 23, 1961, Margie married James Smith and this union was blessed with three children.  Margie had previously been employed with P.J. Ritters Packing and Tri County as a childcare provider. She retired from Seabrook's Brothers and Sons as a packer.

In her past time she enjoyed sewing, singing, traveling, cooking and spending quality time with all of her children, grandchildren, niece and nephews.

Margie leaves many fond and precious memories for her beloved children, James Smith and Jeffery Smith both of Bridgeton, NJ, John (Brandy) Murray of Cedarville, NJ and Janet (Michael) Williams of Bridgeton, NJ; sisters-in-law, Queen Adams, Lois Stone (Latin) of Millville, NJ, Annette Patton (Gary), Beverly Smith of Millville, NJ and Mary Talley (Thorne) of Salem, NJ; brother, Thornie Talley of Salem, NJ; brother-in-law, Paul Smith of Atlanta, GA; 20 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren; special granddaughter, Jashanna Hayes; special niece, Tonae Bartley and caretaker, Darlene Stocks.

Margie was predeceased by husband James Smith, her parents Thornie and Sudie Talley, brothers-in-law Lorenzo, Samuel and Richard Smith, nephews Glen and Gary Talley.
