Marion Lee Samuel was born on February 3, 1967, in Vineland, New Jersey, to the late Thelma Samuel and George Samuel. She was educated in the Millville and Vineland school systems and spent her life building memories with the family and friends who meant so much to her.
In her earlier years, Marion worked in the casino industry in Atlantic City. She later spent many years working in customer service, where her outgoing personality and ability to connect with people served her well.
Marion was the kind of person whose presence could fill a room. She loved music, cooking, playing games, and simply having a good time. Green was her favorite color. She enjoyed being the life of the party, and anyone who knew Marion knew that laughter was never far behind when she was around.
One of Marion’s greatest joys was being a grandmother. She loved spending time and playing with her grandchildren, and they brought tremendous happiness into her life. And you couldn’t keep Marion away from her cartoons! No matter her age, they remained one of the simple things she genuinely enjoyed.
On September 24, 2026, Marion departed this life at the age of 59. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Thelma Samuel and George Samuel.
Marion leaves to cherish her memory her two children, Sakea K. Samuel and Sakeem M. Samuel; her beloved grandchildren, Wor’Niyah, Alaeah, A’Lahnie, A’Lahntè, Ka’Mari, A’Legacy, and Kaidan; her godson, Khalil Mills; her two sisters, Gwendolyn Suggs and Doris Samuel; as well as her aunts, nephews, great-nephews, cousins, extended family, and many friends whose lives were touched by her presence.
Marion will be remembered through the music she loved, the meals she cooked, the games she played, the cartoons she enjoyed, the parties she brought to life, and most of all, that laugh. Her laughter, love, and the memories she created with her family will continue to live on through everyone who loved her.
