Martha Lou (Elam) Strong was born, September 28, 1931 to the late Stanley and Elizabeth Elam in Red Oak, Virginia. She departed this life on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at Bishop McCarthy Nursing Home.

She attended Salem Elementary School and Central High School in Charlotte Court House, Virginia. She moved to New Jersey at a young age. She met and married her late husband, Windsor Burce Gregory Sr. and from that union four children were born.

Martha was a member of the Truth Baptist Church where she served on the Mother's board and Missionary Ministry. Martha loved flowers, plants and spending time in the park meeting other people and talking.

She worked at the Vineland Developmental Center for many years. She also attended the Minosa Beauty School of Hair Design and had her own shop in Atlanta, Georgia for ten years before returning to New Jersey.

She was preceded by her husband, John Strong; sister, Annie B. Green; sister-in-law, Virginia Garrison; brother-in-law, William Gregory.

She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Gloria Jordan, Windsor Gregory Jr., Sandy Jones and Christine Gregory; 25 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; 3 nephews, Wayne, Filbert and Larry Green; niece, Joann James; sister-in-law, Kathy Gregory; God daughter, Tracy Gonzalez; and a host of family and friends.
