Mary Carol Denby was born on March 21st, 1947 to Isaac and Louise Young in Bridgeton, NJ. Growing up in Springtown, she was the eldest of four children and went to Bridgeton public schools. She was the wife of the late Joseph "Jake" Denby for over thirty years.


Mary was known to be hardworking. She was someone you could depend on and was dedicated to her family. During her career years, she worked various job positions in the Bridgeton and Vineland areas. She also had a passion for working in the women's shelter.


Cooking, shopping, traveling, playing bingo and watching movies were some of her favorite hobbies. She also enjoyed hosting grand BBQ's that are talked about for years to come.She was the life of the party and loved to have a good time.

She left to cherish her memories are five children; Tina Chisolm of Pleasantville, NJ, Tonya Denby of Atlantic City and  Christopher Young of Bridgeton. Two stepsons; Joseph G. Denby of Delaware and Thomas Denby of California.  Mary had two sisters, the late Kathey Young Broadley, Patricia Young and brother David Young. Five grandchildren; Martel Chisolm, Antione Chisolm, Christopher Young Jr., Alexis Walker, Jokkeya Young. One niece, Isa young and nephew Riheem-Harris. And a host of beautiful great grandchildren and extended family.
