Melvina Woods 76 of Millville, New Jersey was born January 28, 1944. She departed this life February 21, 2020.

She was the daughter of the late William and Berline Hemmen - Reynolds. Melvina attended Bridgeton Public School System in Bridgeton, New Jersey and graduated from Bridgeton High School.

She was a member of the Christ Care United Baptist Church under the leadership of Bishop Robert Hargrove Sr., Sicklerville, New Jersey. She was also a member of Church of the Living God Pillar Ground in Truth of Bridgeton, New Jersey where Bishop Milton Byrd is the pastor.

She was in the nursing profession for over 40 yrs. She enjoyed nursing, going to church and spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her siblings. She was a kind and very loving person. She always went out of her way to do for others.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her two daughters; Doris L. Woods (Ronald) of Alexandria, VA., Cheryl A. Woods (George) of Atlantic City, NJ, two sons; Dorsey L. Woods Jr. (Cynthia) of Linden, NJ., Timothy A. Woods of Newark, NJ, 14 grandchildren; Natasha, Tamara, Alisha, Shira (John), Shala (Kenderick) Dorsey III, Starr, Skye, Neal, Ali, Wali, Charae, Atiyah, and 11 great grandchildren, four sisters; Ronnie & Hallie of Accomack, VA, Joanne Pierce (Ain), Arnetta Skinner, 3 sisters in law; Hazel Comer, Agnes Woods, Marie Woods, 4 brothers in law; Olin Pierce, Daniel (Marie), Daniel Adams, Timothy (Agnes), 1 aunt Phylis Holden, A host of nieces, cousins and three precious friends; Tracey, Marjorie and Minnie Segers.

She was predeceased by her husband Dorsey L. Woods, Sr., 4 brothers; Hoarse Milton, William Hemmen Jr, Robert L. Hemmen, and Thomas Lee Hemmen, brothers in law Floyd Skinner, Benny Woods, 2 Sisters in law; Amma Quevas, Rosiland Woods, uncles; George Burton, Percy James, David Harmon, Blackley Byrd, aunts; Ama Mae Byrd, Genava Harmon, Winnie Burton, Olevia James and Louise Days.
