Naomi Hegamin was born January 2, 1934 to the late Robert and Rose Hegamin, the fifth of their eight children.
Naomi received her education in Camden, NJ schools. She was a professional presser for Moyer Cleaners for twenty years, a retail worker at JCPenny's for some years, and retired from Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden, NJ after eighteen years.
She enjoyed cleaning her home, decorating, arts & crafts, reading, Louise Williams in the Morning, a good Braves baseball game, and cooking for everybody just about everywhere she lived. Most of all cooking, laughing, playing games, teaching life lessons, and expressing and unconditional/limitless amount of love for her family. She became a member of True Light Holy Church in Philadelphia, PA December of 1995 where she was the President of Pastors Aide, Church Clerk, and what she loved most of all the Youth Sunday School Teacher.
On June 10th, 2017 Naomi was called to rest after many years of illness. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Hulley Hegamin, Bobby Hegamin, and Winfield Hegamin, her two sisters: Gertrude Hegamin and Roberta Cephas and her son: Ronald Hegamin.
Naomi leaves to cherish her loving memory her two siblings: Kenwood Hagamin (wife Evelyn) and Ora Smith, two daughters: Joyce Jones and Denise Stokes (husband Nathaniel), five grandchildren: Toupazer Jordan (husband-BJ), Angela Watson (husband-Miles), DewVay Sheppard, George Hegamin (wife-June), and LeNiece Sehen, eight great-grandchildren: Tierra Hegamin, Eric Hegamin, Marquis Hegamin, Alexis Jordan, Alayna Jordan, Joya Hegamin, Selene Jordan, and Mya Watson. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
