Nevell Levander Bennett, 58, affectionately known as "Bird" returned to his Heavenly home on Monday, December 17, 2018. Nevell was born in Bridgeton, NJ on July 3, 1958 to the late Otis and Mattie Bennett.

Nevell was educated in Bridgeton Public School system where he graduated from Bridgeton High School in 1976. Nevell worked various jobs throughout the Cumberland County area as a Mechanic before relocating to Salem County where he worked at Lilliston Ford Motor Company as a Class "A" Mechanic.

"Bird" was full of life and a joy to all around. He enjoyed tearing down and rebuilding cars while making a lot of noise along the way. He also enjoyed spending plenty of time with his family and friends. You could always find Bird telling a dirty joke, singing and most of all dancing to the tunes of Morris Day and the Times mimicking every routine to the song "The Bird". His personality and spunk was definitely one of a kind for he lived his life to the fullest helping to bring plenty of joy and laughter to so many others inspite of his mishaps by simply giving himself away even unto death.

Nevell was predeceased by his girlfriend/love Dina Donaldson; parents, Otis and Mattie Bennett and brother, Gino Bennett.

He leaves behind many fond and precious memories his daughter, Natalie Wilson; two step children, Geoffery Morris and Alexandria Morris; two grandchildren Deluntae Wilson and Jayonna Blunt; three sisters, Tameka Conaway, Hanna Bennett (Juan) and Veronica Harden; two brothers, Otis Bennett (Bob) and Joshua Bennett (Jamie); and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
