Osbert
Lloyd
January 12, 1954 – January 18, 2022
Osbert Eric Lloyd, passed away unexpectedly on January 18, 2022, at Cooper
University Hospital, New Jersey at the age of 68.
Osbert was born on Jan. 12, 1954, in Tollgate, Clarendon, Jamaica, to the late
Isiah and Daisy Lloyd. He was one of 16 children. He lived in Racecourse,
Clarendon with his wife and children prior to immigrating to the United
States in the late 90s, where he resided until his untimely passing.
He is survived by wife, Marie, and was a proud father and grandfather of six
children - Novia, Kevin, Carza, Catherine, Shereefa and Rushen, and seven
grandchildren - Michael, Brianna, Jayden, Tyree, Ronory, Rylee-Danielle, and
Josiah. He is also survived by Bothers, Lloyd Dean of England, Chevor Lloyd
of Canada, Noel Lloyd of New York, Cecil Lloyd of Florida, Calvin Lloyd of
England, Samuel Lloyd of Georgia, and sisters, Edna Ellis of England,

McBean of New Jersey.
He was preceded in death by parents, Isaiah, and Daisy Lloyd; brothers,
Donald Lloyd, Berah Lloyd, Lenford Lloyd, Carman Lloyd, and sister, Pearline
Lloyd.
Osbert, who was fondly called 'Cookman' had a passion for cooking and
cultivating crops. He was a great lover of music, life, and people in general.
He took great joy in spending time with family and friends and taking care
of people in need. He was a giver by nature and his generosity knew no
bounds and transcended his time here on earth. Consistent with his life, at
his death his benevolence was on full display and was demonstrated
through the donation of his organs to save another life. This was a sober and
dignified decision he made long before the Lord called him home.
His cheerful attitude and bright smile always preceded him and he will
forever be missed by his family Despite passing away from this world, his
memory will live on through the many lives he touched during his tenure
here on earth. We will always remember the kind soul and the beacon of
light that was Osbert 'Cookman' Lloyd.
