Quamere Dee
Williams
March 22, 1998 – May 23, 2020
Quamere Dee Williams, born March 22, 1998, in Newark, DE to Deanna Fletcher and Edward Williams. He was born the day his mother turned seven months pregnant. With the odds stacked against him, Mere entered the world. The youngest of eleven grandchildren of Charlotte and the late John Fletcher, he made his way into everyone's hearts!
He attended Remsterville Daycare where he met his first friend, Kaighn Groce. While playing in the neighborhood he met James Dickerson, Jr. They went through the Salem School District together along with his cousins: Ra'kere Anthony and Anthony Douglas. While there, he gained more friends, Donyell Stewart, Rahmeim Dwight, Tryscianah Wilson amongst many more. He played midget football for Salem for six years, picking up even more friends. He definitely had positive energy that made it easy for people to gravitate to him. He graduated from Salem High School in 2017. He then joined the Local 77 Laborers Union of South Jersey with cousin, Shawn Marshall.
Quamere was a selfless person that was willing to help anyone. Very big on family, he would always stop by or call to ask, "You good?" All that he wanted was to see all of us succeed.
The youngest of three sons, Quamere also grew up with two cousins that are more like siblings, Thaijae and Taleem Thompson. Nine times out of ten, if you seen him, one of them would be with him, if not both.. He adored his nieces and nephews dearly as he did all of his family. Later, he began a relationship with Imani Baker; they spent many good times together.
Quamere is survived by his mother and step-father, Deanna Fletcher and Marvin Jordan; his father, Edward Williams (Antonia Ramos); brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Maya Williams; brother, Khristopher Fletcher (Janeil Jones); girlfriend, Imani Baker; nieces and nephews, Ja'niyah, Jasaan, Jeremiah, Kalani, and Ky'Mir; step-sisters, Naomi, Nyla, and Alexis Jordan; grandmother, Charlotte Fletcher, Aunts, Victoria Spence, Katharine Fletcher (Mark), Christine Fletcher, Sharon Washington and Phyllis Fields; uncles, Daud Tulam/David Fletcher, William (Earlena) Fletcher, William(Sharon) Williams, and Randy Williams; God brothers, Franklin and Jamar Sheppard and Kwameir Wright; and a host of cousins.
He was preceded in death by his Grandfather John W .Fletcher; grandparents Eldridge and Mary Williams; uncles, John R. Fletcher and Kenny Washington; aunts, Linda Fletcher and Gertrude Evans.
