Raymond Ivory Greene was born on January17, 1929 in Swedesboro, NJ. He was the youngest child of the late James W. Green and Lizzie Burnett-Green.

At an early age, the family relocated to Upright, Va. He attended and graduated from the Rappahannock Industrial Academy in Ozeana, Va. He later attended and graduated from Hampton Institute in Hampton, Va.

Raymond served in the US Army from 1950 to 1952. He was stationed in the US and in France.
He met Gracie Banks and married her on June 27, 1959. To this union was born one son, Raymond Andre Greene.

Raymond joined Oak Grove Baptist church in Bestland, Va and was baptized. After college, he moved back to New Jersey to work and to be with his three (3) brothers. He joined Mt. Calvary Baptist church in Mullica Hill and was an active member. He sang on the male chorus, taught the Adult Sunday School class, was a trustee and also served as Trustee Chairman. He continued to attend church faithfully until his health started failing.

Some of Raymond's hobbies were Photography, Bowling, Model Aircraft and traveling. Raymond worked as an Electrical Engineer for General Electric Company, Re-Entry and Environmental Systems Division in Philadelphia, Pa and retired after over 30 years of service.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his dear wife Gracie Greene and his son Raymond Andre Greene and his devoted fiancé Marcia Kassman, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
