Richard "Keith" Rountree 59 of Vineland, NJ, suddenly departed            from this life on Thursday, November 30, 2023. He was born in Millen, GA to  the late Elisher Rountree, Sr. and the late Hattie Iris (Lee) Rountree.

Richard grew up in Georgia and graduated from high school in 1983.
He attended the Savanah State University in Savanah, GA and the Rowan College in Glassboro, New Jersey. A few years after moving to New Jersey, he married Tara Carter, the mother of his children. After the marriage ended, he met his    special friend, Lisa Sye, who he loved dearly.

Richard was a faithful and dedicated employee at United Insurance Company of America as a Sales Agent. He earned several awards for excellent work; Taj Mahal as a Card Dealer in Atlantic City, NJ; Elwyn Group Home in Bridgeton, NJ as a Residential Specialist; and was presently working at The Kintock Group in Bridgeton, NJ as a Resident Supervisor.

He loved and enjoyed watching the Philadelphia Eagles and the Georgia Bulldogs. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church of Vineland, NJ under the leadership of Pastor James A. Dunkins.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories to his three children; Keith "Tony" (Lauren) Rountree, Virginia Beach, VA, Alicia Rountree of Vineland, NJ, Elijah Williams of Newark, NJ; two grandchildren, Saniya Rountree and Camden Rountree of Virginia Beach, VA; five sisters, Iris L. Rountree, Bridgeton, NJ, Jessie Foots and Patricia Ann Newton, Millen, GA,  Doretha Williams, Columbia, SC, Christene (Anthony) Morrow,  Vineland, NJ; two brothers; Robert (Lutesia) Rountree, Millen, GA, Hilton (Neville) Rountree, Newington, GA,; a special friend, Lisa Sye of Vineland, NJ; a God-daughter, Tiffany Williams; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, Elisher and Hattie Rountree; two brothers, Elisher Rountree, Jr. and Leonard Rountree; one sister, Myrlene Rountree; two nieces Kimberly and Sharon Rountree; two brother-in-laws, Henry Williams and Artis Newton.
