Richard D.
Scott, Jr.
June 9, 1968 – August 18, 2024
Richard Scott Jr. was born on June 9, 1968, to Richard Scott Sr. and Brenda Scott in Philadelphia, PA.
Richard was educated in the Philadelphia and New Jersey School Systems. He was such an intelligent young man. One of his teachers said, "He was so good at learning and retaining information, he would allow him to assist him during class."
Richard was the proud father of Richard Wilson, James Pinto, Allison Scott, Richard Scott III and Deanna (Philip) Wallace. He was married to SeBastiana (Sebbie) Brown until her untimely death in 2018. He was predeceased by a daughter, Rickeya.
Richard joined the Local 592 Union in October 1987. He became a participant in the Cement Masons Apprenticeship Program for three consecutive years prior to graduating and becoming a fully Licensed Cement Mason Journeyman.
Richard enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends. He loved fishing and football; he was a die-hard Eagles fan. It was always an intense rivalry whenever the Philadelphia Eagles played against the Dallas Cowboys. Richard loved cooking on the grill; especially grilling steaks. His nephew, Shydee would always say, "Even the fat on Uncle Rickey's steaks taste good."
He leaves to cherish his memories his father and mother, Richard and Brenda; sister, Annetta Burch; three brothers, Richard Harris, Anthony Harris and Elmer (Teddy) Scott; four grandsons, Richard Wilson, Marion Wilson, Styles Wilson and Philip Wallace Jr.; four granddaughters, Deasia Logan, Destiny Wallace, Olivia Wallace and Averi Wallace and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
