Romona Marian
Watford
December 3, 1968 – February 3, 2026
Ramona Marian Watford was born on December 3, 1968, in Bridgeton, New Jersey, to her devoted mother, Barbara Watford-Douglas, and the late Robert Washington. She was raised by her stepfather Bobby Douglas. Surrounded by love and held in God's peace, she gently entered eternal rest on February 3, 2026.
Ramona, affectionately known as "Mona," graduated from Arthur P. Schalick High School in 1988. Blessed with a natural gift for beauty and creativity, she pursued her passion for doing hair by attending cosmetology school at the Cumberland County Vocational Technical School (VOTECH) in Rosenhayn, New Jersey.
Mona had a heart for family and fellowship. She had a special way of making everyone feel welcomed and cherished by often sharing stories, cracking jokes, making people laugh, and sharing moments that became treasured memories. She filled her home with love, laughter, and the aroma of home-cooked meals. She loved oldies music, especially Betty Wright, and could often be found dancing to her favorite songs while cleaning her home or enjoying peaceful moments with those she loved. Mona also enjoyed traveling and serving others, always willing to lend a helping hand or offer words of encouragement. Her life reflected kindness, compassion, and generosity — always ready to encourage, uplift, and bless those around her.
Mona leaves to cherish her memory: her loving mother Barbara Watford-Douglas; her eight beautiful children, Alexander Williams, Montai Watford, Shannon Watford, Kayla Watford, Phillip Spann, Felisha Spann, Alisha Spann, and Felix Spann; four lovely grandchildren, Artisan Williams, Ajna Williams, Ky'Mani Hoyle, and Ja'Nayah Watford; her three wonderful siblings, Mario Watford, Bobby Watford-Douglas, Jr., and Rosa Michelle (Missy) Watford-Douglas; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Though she has departed from this earthly life, her love remains a guiding light, and her spirit will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
