Rose Ella Hursey, 71, of Vineland went home to be with the Lord August 15, 2009 at the Genesis Elder Care, Millville, NJ after a brief illness. Born in Henning, Tenn. to the Late Fred and Pearl (Fitzpatrick) Bonds she was a customer Service Manager for K-Mart of Vineland for 31 years, until her retirement in 2008.

Rose was a member of Chestnut Assembly of God Church, Vineland, NJ and she was a past member of Mt. Pisgah Methodist Church, Vineland. Rose accepted Christ at an early age at New Hope Methodist Church, Henning Tenn. Rose enjoyed shopping, so much that she had to visit the world's largest mall in Minn. She enjoyed cooking, taking rides traveling from state to state, reading, spending time with her family, and she loved to see people laugh; she had an all around great sense of humor.

Rose leaves to cherish her memories her husband James Wilbert Hursey, 4 sons, James (Tracy) Smith, Jeffery Smith, Harold Smith and Charles (Faye) Smith, 3 daughters, Barbara Smith, Brenda James, and Christine Smith, 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Rose was preceded in death by 2 brothers James A. and John R. Bonds, and 2 sisters Ida Shockley and Bernice Robinson.

Services will be held Friday August 21, 2009 at the Chestnut Assembly of God Church, Chestnut Ave. Vineland, NJ at 12 Noon where friends may view 2 hours prior to services.
