Ruth E. Harris of Vineland, NJ passed away on Monday, April 24, 2023 peacefully at home with her children at age 81 after a brief illness.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Walter E. Harris Sr. They have four children, Darlene P. Carter (Aaron), Kimberley V. Bell (Chuck), Walter E. Harris Jr (pre-deceased June 2020) and Tracey L. Harris.  She is survived by brothers, Joseph Stewart of Washington, DC, Walter Stewart of Waverly, VA.  Her sisters Viola Price of Waverly, VA, Shirley (Linwood) Garret of Skippers, VA, & Sharon Stewart of Waverly, VA. Many beloved nephews and nieces.
She has four grandchildren and two great granddaughters.

Ruth was a graduate of the Cumberland County College School of Nursing and worked as a Registered Nurse for the Vineland Developmental Center for nearly 30 years.  She was a faithful Jehovah's Witness and a cherished member of the community.

Ruth will be forever remembered by her children, siblings, and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.
