May 13, 1936 – June 28, 2021
Samuel S. Hall was born May 13, 1936, in Farmville, VA., to the late Harry S. Hall and Rosetta B. Hall. He went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, June 28, 2021. Samuel was known as Sam to friends and Buddy to his family.
Sam became a member of Truth Baptist Church where he served faithfully and became an Honorary Deacon. Samuel S. Hall, the "S" standing for
"Superior-Strong" a Superman. He was the everything man. Sam graduated from R.R. Moton High School in Farmville, VA. He was an Eagle Scout and an excellent swimmer. After graduation Sam left VA and came to Phila, PA where he had an auto shop. Sam moved to Williamstown, NJ where he built his house. He was a professional contractor, building homes, churches and garages etc. He decided to drive trucks for a living until he retired. He loved fishing and hunting and always staying busy until the day of his stroke.
Sam leaves to cherish his memory one daughter, Gloria "Neese" Hall and one son, William Cordell. Two granddaughters, Tywanda Hall-Auld, and
Shaquana Hall; one grandson, Zachary and Debbie Middleton, Great Grandchildren, Kerryann Michelin, Rymone Auld, Britney Auld, Yasayr
Michelin, Milahn Michelin, Nuri Holmes, and Ali Jackson. Four siblings, Mary Bolding, Leon Hall, Rosetta Rivers and Harrell Hall. A host of nieces
and nephews. One special friend DeVoight, a.k.a. (Popcorn) V.S.P. Janarro Mattocks. Last but not least Sam had three care takers that he adored
dearly: Edward M., Emily T., and Scott L.
