Samuel Cadmus
Hull
February 7, 1963 – December 8, 2024
Samuel Cadmus Hull's number one purpose in life was to praise God through service to his fellow man. A lifelong resident of Cumberland County, Samuel was born on February 7, 1963, to his parents Pearl S. Hull and Cadmus S. Hull in Millville, NJ and finished high school in Vineland, New Jersey.
Sam loved being surrounded by family, hosting barbeques, and having fun. He was known for his great hospitality, good nature, generosity and good humor He enjoyed camping and outdoor life and being a father figure to many. He also enjoyed the opportunity to travel with his mom, Robbie, and special friends.
From the time he was in elementary school he knew that education was his calling. For most of his career, Sam was a moving wheelchair bound educator and public servant leaving no stone unturned and allowing no grass to grow under his wheels. To know him, was to love him and receive love in return. NO was an uncommon response for Sam. He had time for everyone and always found a way to make a way out of no way. Sam touched the lives of many.
An avid educator, his career involved providing meaningful education in safe and orderly environments. Samuel attended Rutgers University, Livingston Campus and graduated with a degree in Sociology. He also obtained certifications in Nursery School and Elementary School Education at the same time. He also had a School Social Worker Certification. He completed the Administrative Program at Rowan University, obtaining a Masters in Educational Leadership. Sam was enrolled in the University of Phoenix Doctor of Educational Leadership Program and simultaneously enrolled in the Doctor of Philosophy Program at Christian Bible College.

Samuel was a devout Christian who yielded his service unto the LORD. He was a member of the St. Paul's Baptist Church of Clayton, NJ where he served as Chairman of the Deacon's Ministry, past Assistant Director of Christian Education, past President of Praise and Worship Team, Assistant Coordinator of New Member Ministry, Pastor's Aid Ministry, Director of Youth Department, Sunday School Teacher, Member of the Male
Chorus and Young Adult Choir.
He held various positions in the Bethany Baptist Association of Southern New Jersey. He served a five year term as Camp Director of Camp Cedar Knolls, six year term as the Assistant Director of Camp Cedar Knolls, Assistant Director of Christian Education for the entire Association which consist of the five Southern Counties of New Jersey - total of 104 churches, a Member of the Executive Committee, Trustee Ministry, and Director of Christian Education for Salem and Gloucester Counties. Samuel loves camping, music, traveling and spending quality time with his family and friends.
Sam was preceded in death by his niece, Crystal L Tribbitt and nephew, Alexander Hull. Memories of his life, well lived, will be preserved through his devoted mother, Pearl S.Hull; father, Cadmus S. Hull; a very special nephew-son, Robert Agurs; sisters, DeLitha A. Hull and Jessica Hull; brother, LeOtha D. Hull (Stacey) ; 2 nieces, Otera Hull and Laila Hull; nephew, Jordan Hull and a host of Aunts, Godchildren, relatives and friends.
