Sheila Ann Lowe was born on July 29, 1952 at Bridgeton Hospital, Bridgeton NJ to the late Eunice and Charles Channell Lowe Sr. She departed this life on November 2024 at Inspira Medical center of Vineland, NJ after an acute illness. She attended the Bridgeton School system for 2 short while before her parents decided to send her and her sisters to boarding school located in Greensville, South Carolina named The Fuller Normal & Industrial Institute for African Americans, Founded by Bishop W.E. Fuller Sr. of Atlanta, GA. Chucky Was too young to attend the school, So he stayed close to home, working alongside his father in the family business Delaware Valley Concrete Construction Co. Sheila graduated in 1971, then she and her sisters returned home to NJ. She attended Cumberland County College to study Liberal Arts and Music. Sheila held various jobs throughout her lifetime but her last and most loved position, where she retired from was Rowan College of South Jersey, Cumberland Campus There Sheila was an Adjunct Professor Director of Gospel Choir/Vocal Trainer where she enjoyed sharing her love of music and experiences with the students. She is sure to be joining Quincy Jones heavenly orchestra to continue making glorious music with a choir of angels!

Sheila's love for music started as a little girl at the family church St. Augustine AME located On South Pine Street at the time. This is the place where, as a child she first accepted Christ as her lord and savior. She was the choir director for New Hope Baptist Church of Cedarville for a short while. She returned to her church home and for more than 35 years, Sheila devoted her musical talents to Greater St. Augustine A.M.E. Zion Church, as the p1anist and choir director. Of late, Sheila divided her piano playing between Greater St. Augustine and Trinity A.M.E. Church in Gouldtown, NJ.

During the 1970s Sheila and her sisters Denise and Hilda formed a group call "The Lowe Sisters" but later changed the name to Crystal Clear. Sheila was the lead singer for Crystal Clear. The Lowe Sisters held Q concert at Bridgeton's own Laurel Theatre, where it was a sold-out show. Everyone from town packed the theatre to hear the sisters sing- This was the beginning of the musical career of the sisters. From there they went to play various gigs across the country which ultimately lead them to a recording. contract. In 1981 Crystal Clear signed to Polydor Records, where they recorded 2 songs 'Quality Man" and "Umph Into My Life. Theirs was an angelic sound that brought members of Earth Wind & Fire to little ole' Bridgeton to explore possibilities of working with "The Lowe Sisters." Back in the day Sheila's vocal sound rivaled that of Chaka Khan and she made the rounds in the music industry, gracing stages both nationally and internationally. Later her voice developed a unique range with tones more reminiscent of Gladys Knight to Dionne Warwick.

After her father Charles Lowe's passing, Sheila spent much of her time with her mother Eunice Lowe, to whom she was a devoted daughter, making sure her mother's every want and need was taken care of, especially if it included a fish fry or some other occasion involving food. Sheila was caregiver by nature and took care of everybody. This included all family members, her sisters, baby brother and their children. While Sheila never had any children of her own, she helped mother ali of her nieces and nephews since birth as if they were her own They her pride and joy.
