Evangelist Sheri L. Hunter-Holmes, aged 60, of Gouldtown, New Jersey departed her earthly life and went from Labor to Reward on Sunday, June 13, 2021 of natural causes. Sheri was born on January 19, 1961 to the late Charles Mallory, Jr. and Mrs. Justine A. Hunter Adamson.

Sheri attend the Bridgeton Public School System for her early school years and she graduated from Atlantic City High School in 19. She later worked in Casinos in Atlantic City and Vineland Developmental Center before she became a Private Caretaker for many and then eventually to her mother and uncle.

Serving God was most important to Sheri and she would praise God no matter where she was. Her dedication to serving the Lord went further than we ever knew. She was raised in her family church John Wesley United Methodist Church where she still helped plan a yearly reunion call Hunter Family & Friends Day. She attended Bible College with Bestie Cubbie and later as the Lord called her she began worshipping at Mt. Pleasant Baptize Church under the direction of Bishop John H. Martin. Here her evangelism began to take flight and she began to serve and advocate for those who did not have an advocator. She had a major role in the River of Jordan Ministry founded in 2006 with her husband.

After a long relationship Sheri married her love Michael Holmes on April 16, 2011 in Pleasantville, NJ.

Though Sheri never had biological children but she had host children to call her own. With her infectious smile she knew her way to the hearts of so many children was to feed them and no matter where the came from she would feed them, send care packages, and most importantly prayer for them.

Jones of Hopewell Township NJ., Tia Pettigrew of Pleasantville, NJ., and Demetrias Stocks Fletcher of Bridgeton, NJ.; In-Laws James & Marcella Connors of Egg Harbor Twsp.,NJ.; four Stepsons: Walter Dorsey (Kenisa) of Atlantic City, NJ., Miguel, Robert and Jonathan Holmes all of Egg Harbor Twsp., NJ.; two Stepdaughters: Ianna Holmes of Coral Springs, FL. & Brianna Holmes of Egg Harbor Twsp., NJ.; five brothers-In-Law: Robert Gilford(Latoya) of Atlantic City, NJ., Danial Connors, Mark Connors, Thomas Connors, Martin Connors; two sisters-In-Law: Senethia Gilford of Egg Harbor Twsp.,NJ. & Brenda Scott of Newark, NJ.; Special Friend LaJuanda Gerald-Pettigrew; 3 Uncle, 5 Aunts, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends.

Sheri was preceded in death by her Husband (Michael Holmes), Father (Charles Mallory, Jr.), Brother (Jeffery Adamson), both Maternal & Paternal Grandparents.
