Stephen C. Butts's Obituary

Stephen C. Butts , socially known as "Yung Jordan" because of his great athletic abilities, was born March 14, 1991 to Mara C. Hall Telfair and Stephen M. Butts in Bridgeton, NJ.

Stephen (Little Steve) was affectionately known by many names to his loved ones.  He was known as Stevie by his dad, Uncle Russell as Hard Rock , Aunt Beattie and others as NuNu .  Also he was known as Little Steve by close cousins and friends, and of course Yung Jordan officially given by himself.

Little Steve grew up in Seabrook NJ and graduated from Cumberland Regional High School in 2010 and attended Cumberland County College. Steve enjoyed playing sports such as basketball and football while winning many trophies and awards. His athletic abilities in basketball were so outstanding that he drew crowds of all ages, this is why he named himself, "Yung Jordan." Steve enjoyed spending time with his family, hanging with friends, grilling, cooking his famous wings, he enjoyed watching and betting on football as well as other sports (and boy did he win ).  Little Steve was a lifetime fan of the DALLAS COWBOYS and the 76ers. Steve had many cousins and friends in whom he shared a unique bond and connection with.  To know Steve was to love him and to be in his presence brought nothing but joy!

In his memory Steve leaves to cherish, his mother Mara C. Hall Telfair (Bland) of Bridgeton, NJ, his father, Stephen M. Butts of Bridgeton, NJ;  his son, Jamir D. Butts of Millville, NJ; 3 sisters, Blandia Telfair, Ramona Telfair and Aaliyah Telfair all of Seabrook, NJ; maternal grandmother, Patricia Murray of Seabrook, NJ;  his aunts, Alice Hall Collins of Seabrook, NJ, Deborah Ferebee (David) of Clayton, NJ,      Rochelle Noble Danquah (Eugene) of Michigan; 6 cousins, Ikeda Collins, Kyaira Collins, Maraya Silcott all of Seabrook, NJ, Takwana Butts of Clayton, NJ, Desiree Davis (James) of Clayton, NJ, Jaimi  Danquah of Michigan;  2 special nieces, Alayah Bailey and Cameryn Bailey of Bridgeton, NJ; A significant other, Brittanye Glanville; 2 stepsons, Zion Pitts and Mic'Ah Redfern and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
