March 18, 1940 – January 23, 2021
Theodore Price (Teddy), 80, of Bridgeton husband of Gussie Price went home to be with the Lord on Saturday January 23, 2021. Theodore was born on March 18, 1940 to the late Matthew Wright Sr. and Dorenza Price – Wallace.
Teddy graduated from Bridgeton High school in 1958. He served in the United States Army for 9 years and was honorably discharged. He was a Vietnam War veteran. In 2006, he was awarded a certificate of appreciation for Veterans of Foreign Wars of The United States for his faithful support of America's deserving veterans and their families.
Teddy was employed at Trump Marina Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey until his retirement. Teddy was member of the Samuel J. Roberts Lodge 979. He served as the financial secretary and was active in many other activities.
Teddy enjoyed watching football, country western movies, Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. He was a devoted Chicago Bears fan. He loved spending time with his family, especially his great- grandchildren.
Teddy leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife of 18 years, Gussie Price, five children, Kimashell Green (Ronald), Nakia Smith (Joel), Donna Holloway, Ella McDowell (Chris), and Ericka Jones, 9 grandchildren, Shanta Stevenson (Johnathan), Ronald Green Jr., Ryon Green, Todd Smith, Joel Smith Jr., Adrianara Barnes, Laquita Kenzslowe, Robert Kenzslowe Jr and Taylor Jones, 8 great-grandchildren, Jonathan Stevenson III, Joseph Stevenson, Jordan Stevenson, Joshua Stevenson, Ava Smith, Kahmoria Bragg, Ayden Conyers and Cayden Conyers, 3 sisters, Brenda Peterson,
Cordelia Pitt, and Maxine Fuller (Frank), 3 brothers, Dennis Wallace, Matthew Wright Jr. (Bonnie) and Myron Wright (Danita), his mother in law, Mrs. Viola P. Johnson , four sister-in-laws, Jennie Fentress, Essie Collins (Willie), Shirley Taylor and Louise Johnson – Field and god daughter, Lolita McNeil.
In addition to his wonderful parents, he was predeceased by 2 sisters, Alpha Wallace and Gwendolyn Wright, 1 brother Sherman Wallace, stepmother, Sara Wright and stepfather Roger Wallace, 1 brother-in-law Silas Peterson Sr. and his good friend Willie Jones Sr.
