Thomas E.
Hicks
May 29, 1958 — May 26, 2026
Vineland
Thomas E. Hicks was born on Mav 29, 1958. in Norfolk. Virginia to the late Elouise Hicks. He peacefully departed this life on May 26, 2026, surrounded by the love and memories of those who cherished him.
Thomas was a hardworking man from a very young age. At just nine years old, he began doing odd jobs to help provide for his mother and siblings. By the age of fourteen, he secured his first steady job at a chicken factory. Throughout his life, he dedicated himself to caring for others through his work, including positions in maintenance at Fair Acres and Sterling Senior Living, careers he genuinely loved and enjoyed.
Thomas was a man who knew how to enjoy life. He loved watching sports, especially cheering on his favorite football team, the San Francisco 49ers. He enjoyed playing squelch with his friends, drinking Colt 45, dancing, and being the life of every gathering. His presence could light up any room, and his laughter and sense of humor brought joy to everyone around him. Above all else, Thomas treasured spending time with his family, children, and grandchildren.
Those who knew Thomas will remember him as a beautiful soul with a warm heart and an unforgettable spirit. He was funny, uplifting, and rarely allowed sadness to define him. If tears ever came to his eyes, they were most often tears of happiness or passion. He never liked a dull moment and believed life was meant to be lived fully and shared with the people you love.
Thomas leaves behind his beloved children: Thomas Logan, Montrell Logan, Ashley Logan, Darius Nelson, Takea Hicks, and Tamira Hicks, along with his grandchildren, extended family, and many dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Elouise Hicks; his brother; his sister; and his son.
Though Thomas is no longer with us in body, his love, laughter, and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
