Tomy Lee
Kennedy
July 3, 1943 – May 19, 2023
Tomy Lee Kennedy was born July 3, 1943, in Meridian, Miss., Jasper County. He went home to be with the Lord on May 19, 2023. He was well known to many as "THE CARPET MAN" and also let's not leave out, a ladies' man.
He was a self-employed, licensed engineer contractor for over 50 years. Recently at times, when the Richland Carpet commercials would air, and he saw his buddy Phil Brunozzi appear he would express how happy he was to see him still doing what they loved. He admired his work and at times thought he was an interior decorator. He enjoyed spending time and doing family outings, especially his season pass at Clementon Park to BBQ with his children and grandchildren.
He enjoyed talks with his brothers Herb and Greg and visits from his good friend Mark Mollett. He also enjoyed the moments when he would step out with his good friend/twin George Still, but most of all he loved his brother from another Aurthur "Art" Rease. He was the favorite nephew of Authurene Reaves and she was definitely his favorite person, they were like "Driven Miss Daisy".
Tomy Lee Kennedy was born to the parents of Herbert Kennedy Sr and Marie Magnolia Price. He served 6 years in the Marines of which he received many medals, (Good Conduct Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, National Defense Ribbon, Rifle Marksmanship Badge, and the Pistol Sharpshooters Badge). He received his GED while being stationed in Japan. After being released on an Honorable Discharge from active duty while stationed at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina, he went on to further educate himself at the PSI Institute of Philadelphia in PA.
In 1977, he purchased his 1st home with the mother of his children (Betty Louise Jackson) whom he is predeceased by. In his home, he has treasured 46 years of memories, laughter, and love.
He is survived by his daughter Ramona Roache of Vineland, NJ, son Timothy Bell (Marilyn) of Vineland, NJ., son Hyuahda Roache (Dareth) of San Antonio, TX, son Marcus Kennedy Sr. of Vineland, NJ, daughter, Marlene Kennedy-Higgs (James) of Brotmanville, NJ, son Byron Cook of Bridgeton, NJ, and stepson Calvin Willkenson of Brotmanville, NJ.
