Valerie, affectionately known as "Evon or Yvonne" was born in Swedesboro, NJ on November 6, 1939.  The second born to the late Oscar and Mary Clark.

She attended the Margaret Clifford School and graduated from Swedesboro High School in 1958.  She was baptized at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. John J. McCree, where she faithfully served until her passing.

She started employment at Woodbury Memorial Hospital and later JC Penny.  Some years later she started her banking career at   Midlantic Bank as a teller and ended at PNC Bank in Bank Operations.  She met the love of her life Charles Johnson, and they were married on April 20, 1963 and from that union two children were born Karen and Darrin and they remained married for 51 years until his passing in 2014.  During their marriage they developed a love of travel which took them across United States.

Mom's fondest memories were after they retired they would "Throw some clothes in a bag" and go.  And away they went to Charleston, SC, New Orleans, and Martha's Vineyard, to name a just a few places.  At the end of May, Yvonne's health took a sudden turn and on June 11th God's good and faithful servant wanted her with Him and called her home.

She is survived by her older brother, Douglas Clarke (Bevelyn) of Hepizbah, GA and younger brother, Keith Clark (Stella) of Swedesboro; brother-in-law, Frank Johnson Jr. (Mabel) from Woodstown; sister-in-law, Georgiana Johnson of Philadelphia and her son, Darrin and daughter, Karen of Voorhees and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
