Vanessa Renee Jones, age 51, also lovingly nicknamed "Nannie" by her cousin Seth Robinson Sr. was suddenly plucked from this earthly garden to be with our Lord on Monday, August 1, 2022. Vanessa, "Nessa", "Nesso", was a quiet, private, and beautiful young woman who in her early years, truly loved being with family (cousins Keya, Tera, Kim and Elicia Holmes) and so many of her friends (Joey Tyler and Tuffy just to name a few).

Vanessa was born September 8, 1970 to Karen Webb and was adopted and raised by Martha "Mot/Duke" and Edward "Tee Moe" Jones at three weeks of age. She attended and graduated from Woodstown High School in 1989 and furthered her education in colleges Salem County Community College and Strayer University in Virginia. She attended both Mt. Laurel AME Church in Yorktown as well as Morning Star Baptist Church in Woodstown where she was baptized on March 10, 1985 by Reverend Benjamin Mike. During her childhood, she was active in the Crusaders for Christ Youth Group and Softball.
After the passing of her adopted mother Martha, Vanessa relocated to Virginia in 2008 where she resided until her passing.
Vanessa was predeceased by Martha and Edward Jones, Karen Webb, and her maternal grandparents, Delores "Dot" (Burris) Webb and Oliver "Pete" Webb.

Vanessa leaves so many to cherish her precious memory: LaMia Webb (sister), Jacob Contrabasso (her adored nephew/twin), Millicent Rodriques (cousin & godmother) and a multitude of cousins and friends.
