Wade Stephens of Rockingham, NC passed away on July 18, 2010.
He was born on March 14, 1964 in Bridgeton, New Jersey to Retha Stephens and Fred Douglas Jr.
Wade graduated from Bridgeton High School in 1982 and was accepted into the delayed entry program of the United States Marine Corp. He was stationed at Camp LeJeune, NC for four years active duty and two years reserve duty.
In 1989, Wade moved to Richmond County, NC. Before his illness, he was a dedicated employee of Sealed Air Corporation for 19 years. Wade enjoyed working there.
Wade is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Richard Stephens, Lewis Stephens, and John Stephens and childhood friend James Wadley.
He is survived by his wife Gail Mosley-Stephens, daughter J. Gabrielle Stephens, and son, Wade L. Stephens. Sisters, Dorothy Johnson, Bernice Johnson (James), and Francis McCrary (Gene) of Fort Wayne, Ind., Josephine Williams of Detroit, Mich., and Jeanette Stephens-El of Moorestown, NJ. Brothers, Columbus Stephens and Joseph "Jack" Stephens (Pearl) of Bridgeton, NJ, Ollie Collins of Sanford and Nollie Collins of Rockingham, NC. Mother and Father-in-law Ray and Sharon Mosley Hunter, sister-in-laws, Elaine McClendon Stephens (wife of late brother John), Kim Mosley and Juanita Mosley all of Bridgeton, NJ and Penni Hayward (Veron) of Summerville, SC. His Aunts Lovie Lee Cobb of Warren, Ohio and Hattie McInnis of Rockingham. His good friend Barry Jones and his Goddaughter Andnya Mosley and a host of Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He will be greatly missed by all.
Service will be held at Edwards and Son Funeral Home on Friday July 23rd at 2 pm. Burial will be at Cedar Hill Memorial Park.
