William Louis Aikens, transitioned peacefully at the age of 60 to his eternal home on September 24, 2023 at Hammonton Rehabilitation Center in Hammonton, NJ surrounded by his loving family.

William, affectionally known to his friends and family as Jameel was born on March 16, 1963 to Jean Aikens and Hugh Phillips, Sr.  He was educated in the Newark, NJ school system and later employed at Omni Bakery in Vineland, NJ.  William was loved and had an amiable smile. He enjoyed landscaping, cooking, music and dressing up.

He was predeceased by his mother, father and two sisters, Betty Jean Aikens and Sylvia Aikens.

William leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Judith Fleming Aikens; two brothers, Hugh Phillips, Jr. and wife Yvonne Phillips; Ashon Anderson and wife Sherron Motayne Anderson; one sister, Diane Gatling and husband Richard Williams.

He will also be dearly missed by a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins (especially Cousin Karen).
