William Douglas Friday, Sr. was born on July 21, 1949 to the late Lillie Mae Summers and Wade Hamton Friday Sr. He passed away on January 29, 2021. He died at his apartment surrounded by love ones like he wanted.

He was· born at Hahnemann Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was the 4th child of 9 children. He was educated in the Philadelphia School System. After graduating high school, he was drafted into the army in 1967 where he served for 4 years. He later met his first wife Judy, Friday and had 2' sons Ronald Friday and William Friday Jr. When that union ended William moved to NJ where he started his career in the medical field and met his present wife Linda Young Friday and later moved to Bridgeton, NJ where they resided for 45 years. During this union they had 3 children Kamisha Evans-Broughton, Khaliah Friday and Khalah Friday. He graduated nursing school in 1997 from the Cumberland County Va-tech
ranking top of his class. He was interviewed several times by the newspaper for his academics and the great job he did as a nurse. William also served on "the Fairfield Township Committee. His hobbies were loving his wife and children, cooking, learning, singing, and watching westerns.

He is survived by his loving wife Linda, 6 children; Ronald Friday, William Friday, Kamisha Evans-Broughton, Khaliah Friday Khalah Friday, brothers and sisters: Wade Friday Jr., Delores Friday, Jackie Friday, Jeanette Friday-Bailey, and Eugene Friday, one son-in-law Donovan Broughton and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was predeceased by 2 brothers and a sister; Robert Friday, Ernest Friday, and Cheryl Ann Summers.
