Willie Bonner's Obituary

Willie (Will) Andrew Bonner , age 69, born on October 13, 1949 to Dorothy L. Brown, peacefully departed this life on February 17, 2019.

Will graduated from Bridgeton High School, class of 1969. He went on to continue his zest for learning by attending The College of New Jersey, graduating in 1978. His career would lead him to the New Jersey Department of Treasury, retiring after 18 years of service. His trust in the Lord and desire to help and educate others lead him to become a licensed Drug and Alcohol counselor, working for Maryville Addiction Treatment Centers of NJ, Sodat and later retiring from Ancora Psychiatric Hospital. Retirement did not end his counsel as he was always just a phone call away.

In addition to his love for learning and education, he enjoyed traveling and vacationing in the mountains in New York, camping up and down New Jersey and traveling to the shores along the Northern Carolina coast, as well as the amusements and condos in Florida. Camping, fishing, reading, hearing a good sermon, listening to Jazz and enjoying his family were the joys of his life.

In his early years, he was united in holy matrimony to his high school sweetheart, Sheila D. Bannister. This union was blessed with three children who will continue cherish his generous spirit, witty humor, and enduring love.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife Sheila, daughter, Natalie L. Bonner,                sons, Jason A.(Staci) Bonner and Justin M. Bonner, grandchildren, Sheila C. Bonner, Brandon T. Bonner, Nathaniel A. Bonner, Ethan M. Bonner, Johnathan A. Bonner , brothers , Maurice T.(Cheryl) Brown Sr, Alvin R.(Regina) Brown, Eugene (Harold) Johnson, sister, Emma Thomas, a special uncle George C. Butler, a special cousin Eddie Bonner and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his mother, Dorothy L. Brown, father, Vernon E. Brown and a brother, Melvin R. Wilmer. He will be sadly missed but fondly remembered in our hearts.
