George has always enjoyed spending time with his family in the great outdoors. He, Lessie and his girls have camped and vacationed throughout their lives. Many camping trips to Cherrystone, Oceanview, Parvin's State Park and many other campsite along the East Coast. He and Les also loved to travel, one of his favorites was the Anniversary Cruise in Alaska. He especially loved taking the next generation on vacation, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren were taken to locations like Hawaii, Las Vegas and multiple trips to Florida.
George loved his toys. Those would include his assortment of tractors and lawnmowers that he would also use to clear snow from his and most of his neighbor's driveways. He owned a few motorcycles throughout the years, the last being his " old man bike" the Honda GoldWing. He also had a convertible 2 seater Miata that he would drive around town and take Lessie for a ride to Atlantic City or down to Fortescue to see what the fishermen caught that day.
Now, Fishing was his main passion, he was first introduced to the sport by his Mother and that passion continued well into his late 70s. Later, he and Les would just park at the edge of the Bay and throw a line in just for the heck of it. While they initially started out fishing in creeks lakes and rivers they advanced to the Atlantic Ocean when they purchased their very own 21 foot boat, affectionately named the " Miss T " (after their first born granddaughter, Tiara). Finally, we are here today to celebrate the more than 84 years of a wonderful and blessed life of the best husband, father, uncle, grand father and great- grand father who has ever lived.
