Ernest Valentine went to be with the Lord on Sunday March 6, 2001; with family his family by his side. He was born in Pennsville Township, NJ on August 18, 1935 to the late Irving Valentine and Della Pitts Valentine.

He was affectionately, called Ernie by family and friends. He attended Quinton Township Elementary School and Salem High School. He worked at Seabrook Farms where he operated harvesting equipment prior to moving to South Carolina; where he became a member of The Church of God. He returned to NJ in 2007; after the passing of his wife in 2006.

Ernest leaves to cherish his memories 3 children Mark Valentine (Sharon), Genevia Al-Rasel, Ernestine Hall (Frank), 3 grandchildren Monique and Daniel Valentine, and Kaitlyn Hall, 1 great grandchild Mia Grandpre, 1 devoted sister, Alice P. Moore and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Ernest was preceded in death by 2 sons Brian and Milton Valentine, 3 brothers Irving Jr., Major, Howard Valentine, 4 sisters Anna Baynard, Minnie Bell Parks, Katherine Smith, and Mildred Harmon.

A memorial service will be held Monday, March 14, 2011 at 12 Noon at Edwards & Son Funeral Homes, Inc. 166 Seventh St. Salem, NJ 0809
