Felisha La'Shay Butler "Lish" 35 years old, went home to be with the Lord peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, January 16, 2014. Born May 1,1978 in Bridgeton NJ, she was the daughter of Patricia Butler-Brown and the late Henry Lee Burrus and stepfather Herman Brown.

Felisha received her early education in Bridgeton Public Schools, after leaving high school she attended Harrison Career Institute in Vineland NJ. She became a lab tech and worked in this field for many years; later she went to work for Walmart.

A loving mother of two children Shyan and Christian Butler of Bridgeton NJ and grandmother of Shy'la Butler and Khi'la Hall. She was known for "Telling it like it was" She attended church in her younger years and throughout her adult life. She was a member of "The Church of Deliverance".

There was no doubt about the love she had for the Lord. Her favorite sayings were "I love hard and I pray too hard" After the passing of her father Henry Burrus and grandmother Sadie Joan Burrus, Lish life took a turn. You could never tell she was going through anything because she would spend hours laughing and making jokes. Felisha enjoyed her life to the fullest, she would never stay in one place too long. She loved to travel and spread her love. We all know she liked to dress up and look nice. There was never a dull moment when she was around, always a memorable moment full of laughter. If you knew Lish, like we knew Lish, she would want us all to come together and "Act Accordingly" in laughter instead of crying and being sad!


She leaves to cherish her memories her mother, Patricia Butler-Brown; stepfather, Herman Brown; her siblings, Portray and Teyonnah Williams, Tiffany; Brandy; Marion Harrison, Quanette, Shamar, Davonte Burrus, and Quameen Mayes; Grandmother Pearlene O'Connor; Grandfather Albert O'connor, La'Tasha Torres a great friend more like a sister and many nieces , nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends in which she loved dearly.

Felisha was predeceased by: her father Henry Lee Burrus; grandmother Sadie Joan Burrus; and grandfather Zebedee Stubbs.

Homegoing services will be held noon Monday January 27, 2014 at Edwards and Son Funeral Home, 208 E Commerce St., Bridgeton NJ. Family and friends may attend the viewing from 10am-noon.
